Okay, I'm feeling like a serious slacker because things have been so crazy around here, I haven't had time to write this review of a fabulously funny book, Pacify Me, by Chris Mancini. I found Chris' blog through Auntie Becky's blog. I figured anyone that Becky thought was funny, I would too, since I love her posts so much...and I was right! Okay, back to the book. This is a book written from a dad's point of view, about everything from finding out your wife is pregnant to your child's first ER visit. He talks about his anxiety when he found out he was going to become a dad, and how it landed him a prescription for Zoloft. He includes some hilarious inserts, such as the 'Nine Infernal Circles of Babies R Us', 'Ten things NOT to say to a pregnant woman'-these are SOOOO dead on-, and one super short chapter on how parent groups are for women. Period. I can't even begin to do this book justice. It would be the perfect gift for a new dad, ar an experienced one, because I sure was thinking, "Oh YEAH, I remember that!" when I was reading it. All I can say to you is, buy it, read it...it's well worth it!

Thanks for the great review! Yes, that Babies R Us is evil. Pure evil I tell ya!

I also loved the part about the 'what to expect' books...my husband and I were cracking up over that one!
