i spent today doing laundry and packing-we're taking the boys and one friend each to the great wolf lodge. i'm just ready to get out of here and GO SOMEWHERE! winter gets so depressing. i love the snow, but we are not getting any...just a whole lotta rain. i'm looking forward to staying in a hotel overnight and not cooking or doing dishes or laundry. in other news... T STARTED PRACTICES!!! i am so missing baseball, i can't even tell you. one of our former coaches approached Coach, knowing how busy we are, and asked if he would like to merge our teams. we lost a lot of kids, and weren't looking forward to trying to rebuild, especially since we're going back to PONY baseball (yeaaaa!) this year. they are starting to practice twice a week indoors for strength training and conditioning (they are looking forward to being ripped, man), and once on the weekend for baseball drills. Coach will be division coordinator for alex's division since our league reinstated the pinto division (yeaaaa-again!). he will coach alex's team also. looking forward to being able to get out and bs with all the parents again--saturday was fun! one of our old families moved back to our side of the state too, so they will be joining us on this team. another of our former families, who were our sponsors as well, lost their little boy (7) a couple weeks ago--so sad. he was born very early, had survived four open heart surgeries and two valve replacements, but became sick with probably H1N1, and passed away. poor guy, he was such a fighter. he got a hero's burial with a police escort, and a fallen officer's coin on his chest to be buried with. his story was on komo4news.com-search jacob campbell if you're interested in seeing it. makes me realize that our problems are few compared to others. that and watching the horror in haiti. we are truly blessed, and can handle what comes our way!
