the past few weeks have been a whirlwind of work, stress, and baseball. lots and lots of baseball. i love it! tyler is having fun playing with a bunch of old friends on his team, and alex is becoming a leader on his team too. we often have to tell him to tone it down, though...he thinks he's the coach sometimes! alex's team is undefeated, and all of the boys are pretty good hitters. we are hoping to get to play some teams who will give them a challenge...so far that's not the case, and coach is having to work to not run the score up. our club chose to give the pinto program away last year, and these kids have lost a year of learning from not being in PONY baseball last year, and it shows. hopefully next year will be better for the other teams. t had a double header in a town about 45 minutes away last weekend, and they lost their first game and won their second...the two teams were total opposites! the weather was crazy-one minute it was sunny and the next it was pouring down rain. i'm still stressed about my job...one day they say i'm there til the end of the year, and the next it's til the end of april...frustrating and nervewracking. the kid i work with is in NO WAY ready to be on his own, and the special ed dept. is dragging their feet about me staying because of the money. another example of our school districts not giving kids what they need. my car is out of commission too--a cracked head--it is EXPENSIVE as heck to fix, and is taking a long time because we are coming up with money here and there, not all at once. i'm hoping the next couple of weeks will take a positive turn!

Here's hoping they ALL turn up. It's been a rough couple of weeks, no?
